0. This is the book of the Mastery of the Hawk and of the Tuat. And of making an ending of the two.
(2=0)
1. As above so below, to work the will of one star.
(1=Father/One True Will)

2. To cause effects in the Light, you have to work on it from the darkness.(2=Goddess, Illumination, Light, Wisdom)
3. To cause effects in the darkness, you have to Work on it from the Light. (3=Saturn, death ,darkness)
4. Therefore, to begin the Operations of the Magick of Light.
(jupiter: to obtain balance, maat)
5. The Pyramid must be builded!
(The Pentagram)
6. Then the House was built by the Whirling Motions.
(In ancient egyptian hieroglyphics a square, 6 directions, was used to denote the word for house or temple. In this case the magick circle.)
7. Then the pyramid was Duly Builded.
(3alchemical+4elemental=7united)
8. Then the body of light was Duly Transformed.(That the Body of Light must be transformed not created, it exists already. also 5pentagram+3the underworld=8united)
9. Then the Will of THOTH was Duly Accomplished.

The whirling motions is said by Abraios to be the beginning of the Work. It is properly understood from an initiated point of view as the actions of the magician in the Temple of Light. That is, he must now thoroughly MASTER every chapter of Liber O. So, the whirlings are the circumambulations of the magician as he banishes and invokes the various energies necessary for his Admission to the Mysteries. There is no necessary initiation ritual proper for this Step, because it is not a checkpoint for divine revelations. No important realisations are discovered here other than self-empowerment through the ceremonial disciplines outlined in Liber O, A, and Astarte. In the little system of magick are two important realisations, the precursor, called the Vision of HGA, and the ending of the work itself, K&C of the HGA. These two(steps 2 & 4) require initiations proper, the other two(steps 1 & 3) do not. However, for esthetic reasons there is no reason not to write ones own but i will not include it here since it is unecessary, and it is that which is absolutely necessary which I ought aim to discover. I would humbly recommend that you do the same.

Reasonings for Liber O's necessity in Step 3:
1. The idea is to achieve mastery over the astral plane. Liber O is a handbook for this process. Though there are others, such as the Art and Practice of Astral Projection by Ophiel, which can be used to supplement Liber O and complement one another wonderfully.

2. There is in Liber O methods for Pentagram & Hexagram rituals, and a formula for Astral Projection is given in the final two chapters.

3. The second to last chapter of Liber O will give the basic practice of AP, while the final chapter of Liber O will enable the mastery of it. After this is accomplished, the magician can procede to the invocation of the four elemental spirit lords. This will enable a further connection with the elemental forces.

4. Adding to the lbrp more impressive visualisations according to the element being invoked can add greatly to the benefits one recieves during this experience.

On Liber Astarte:
Keep doing Liber Astarte in longer sprints each time you do it. First begin with the least amount of time allowed, as given in Liber Astarte, then work your way to more and more difficult times:

"Concerning the period of devotion, and the hours thereof. Let a fixed period be set for the worship; and it is said that the least time is nine days by seven, and the greatest seven years by nine. And concerning the hours, let the Ceremony be performed every day thrice, or at least once, and let the sleep of the Philosophus be broken for some purpose of devotion at least once in every night."

Do not seek help in the creation of the invocation or in the creation of the talisman of your chosen deity, as they should be the brainchild of your own divine genius. However, there is not rules against my giving some advice without your asking. So, let's have an overview of the process of the talismanic creation, but first keep in minds the words of the Holy Book Astarte, "
  1. Concerning minor methods adjuvant in the ceremonies. II. Talismanic Magic. Having made by thine Ingenium a talisman or pantacle to represent the particular Deity, and consecrated it with infinite love and care, do thou burn it ceremonially before the shrine, as if thereby giving up the shadow for the substance. But it is useless to do this unless thou do really in thine heart value the talisman beyond all else that thou hast. " -AC

Now, this talisman can be Liber Al vel Legis, or a parchment talisman similar to the talismans of agrippa. It matters not. It can be a book of love poems written to the deity. I have found this to be the best way. But the symbol of the deity shall have been either chosen from among the classic symbology given from the deities past disciples or it can be one you have yourself invented and named as the sigil of the deity. This should all be done with great care and devotion as described above.

In order to write the Invocation for your deity, you shall study love poetry and prose and compose your own genius work. There are many lovely examples and I will give one here,
Invocation to Nuit
(Derived from and inversion of Liber AL vel Legis)
But to love Thee is better than all things: Under the night-stars in the desert, I have come to presently burn Thine incense before Thee, invoking Thee with a pure heart, and the Serpent flame herein, may I come a little to lie in Thy bosom. For one kiss from Thee will I be willing to give all; but whoso gives one particle of dust shall lose all in that hour. Ye shall make me to gather goods and store of women and spices; ye shall make me to wear rich jewels; ye shall make me to exceed the nations of the Earth in splendour & pride; but always in the love of Thee, and so shall I come to Thy joy. I have come before Thee in a single robe, and covered with a rich headdress. I love you! I yearn to you! Pale or purple, veiled or voluptuous, I who am all pleasure and purple, and drunkenness of the innermost sense, desire you. I put on the wings, and arouse the coiled splendour within me: O my sweetest Nuit! I come unto Thee!

Also, if you really want to master this step learn to perform the book called The Lesser Key of Solomon. email me if you want me to send you it. agiomagikos@gmail.com
