The meaning of Dark Magick
The voice of my Undying and Secret Soul said unto me: "Let me enter the Path of Darkness and, peradventure, there shall I find the Light."
To me Dark Magick is a way to describe the more powerful forms of Magick which are otherwise referred to as High Magick. The idea is for the aspirant to enter the darkness in order to find the light. While the Path of Darkness always entails more suffering than other paths, this also brings with it a higher degree of power which can be achieved in practice. Moses entered the darkness and saw God in it, the Golden Dawn aspirant and freemason are both blindfolded before being allowed to enter the light of the temple. Jesus is killed and descends to the darkness overcoming death and giving to all of mankind the Key which he found deep at the bottom of the abyss inside the paths of death. This is the Key of Death which gives Life. The Ankh and the Tree of Life are both symbols of this Key. A key which is only obtainable from the practice of dark magick. "Inheritor of a Dying World, arise and enter the Darkness."
